Over the past 35 years, the District has continued to maintain Reede Gray Elementary School without needing to ask the public for approved funds by utilizing available district resources, maximizing state aid, and seeking alternative funding sources. In addition to the general maintenance of the building, significant maintenance projects conducted at Reede Gray Elementary during this time include:

A total roof replacement with specific steps taken to maximize warranty options to extend the life of the roof
Installation of internal air conditioning units in all classrooms.
Replacement of all classroom and hallway heating units
Four separate building additions after the large addition in 1968, including:
- Addition of two new classroom spaces and construction of new Media Center transitioning from a K-6 to Pre-K-4th grade building
- Addition of the Ehlers’ Intergenerational Center and Early Childhood
- Development of new/secure front entrance designed to increase security
- Redesign of the parent drop-off lane to create off-street drop-off
Installation of separate cement parking lots for staff and Early Childhood and Senior Citizen entrances
Addition of a new playground (The School Board is intending to maintain in the proposed concept)
