Students in Carpentry and Building Trades learning about wiring today. The requirement was to wire a light fixture, breaker, and switch. The assessment was to plug it in and ensure it worked. Great learning experience for our students!

Students in Drones I got their first experiences with flying a drone today. This was the Tello drone, and students practiced flying through obstacles.

Yesterday Daktronics hosted the Advanced Robotics team. Students toured and learned more about how Daktronics uses robotics within its facility. Students also demonstrated the robot they are working on for the engineering team. Thank you, Daktronics for an awesome day!

Parents/Guardians and Students:
As today (December 10, 2021) is an ELearning Day due to the weather, I have attached a document https://5il.co/12zti detailing the expectations for ELearning. This is the same document that was included in my weekly emails a few weeks ago. Note the requirements as this is significantly different than distance learning last year. All work needs to be completed by 3:00 p.m. today or students will be marked unexcused for attendance. Teachers are available from 10-3 today, and the office staff (including me) will be here from 7-4. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us.
Thanks,
Mr. Jorgenson

Congratulations to Jahlyn Bill on winning 1st place in the VFW's Voice of Democracy Program. Great job Jahlyn!

Students in Welding II have been learning about different industry-standard welding techniques. Today, 3 welders from Artex came in to evaluate the students' work, giving them scores and feedback on different areas. They are working towards a Cardinal Certification in Welding. Thanks Artex for the support!
