This year 10 Seniors from RVHS are participating in the Career Mentorship program. This program partners with local businesses to employ students during the school day and provides hands-on opportunities. Each intern was asked about their unique opportunity and what they have enjoyed most about the experience.
RVHS trap team has completed their preseason rounds and are prepared to compete in Class 2A, Conference 4. Other schools in the conference include:
Battle Lake, BBE, Big Fork, Browerville, PACT Charter, Pillager and St. Cloud Tech. The regular season lasts 5 weeks with weekly scores entered by Saturday. Individual and team awards are given at the end of the regular season. Participants are recognized for firing perfect 25, 50, 75 and 100 straight rounds.
Teams shoot on their home ranges and scores are computer recorded for weekly standings. Redwood Falls Sportsman Club is the home range for RVHS trap team. The Sportsmen Club provides the facilities at no cost to the team with clay targets provided at a minimum cost. Redwood County Pheasants Forever provides ammunition for the team. Congrats to Andy Ourada, Redwood Valley Activities Director being named Class A Activities Adminatrator of the year in MN at an MNIAAA Awards Banquet on March 27th. We are thankful for all your hardwork, time and dedication to our Redwood Area Schools students, families, staff and community.
