RVHS Conferences will be held on October 6 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. In addition, there will be the RVHS Conference Art Show featuring student art from 4-7 p.m. on the same night in the Estebo Hallway. Refreshments will be served by the Foods for Living II students. Hope to see you there!


As part of their exploration of health sciences, RVHS students had the chance to explore biomechanics. Students had 4 stations designed to test different characteristics and limits of the musculoskeletal system as well as the relationship between muscle use and cardiovascular effort.

This week, your child learned about “Orange Shirt Day” or also known as Truth and Reconciliation Day. Every year on September 30th, we recognize relatives who lived during the boarding school years. It is important to keep the message “Every Child Matters” as the motto for this day to remind us all that every child and every culture is important. Please help us by honoring this day by wearing ORANGE on Tuesday, September 30th!

2nd Grade wrapped up a unit on Tall Tales and Fairy Tales with an author read and pancakes. Former staff member and community member Wayne Junker came in to read his book Paul Bunyan and talk about the process of making the book. Afterwards, students enjoyed pancakes that parent volunteers made.

Intro to medical careers students at RVHS got their white coats today as they have completed HIPAA and ethics training and are ready to practice taking vitals. Awesome experience for students!

Some of our RVHS students have taken up the game of Chess in the Media Center during lunch. Great to see the game making a comeback! Thanks to Mr. Scoates for getting this going.
