Redwood Valley High School Announces Local ExCEL and Triple “A” Award Winners.
Redwood Valley High School is pleased to announce our 2021-22 ExCEL Award winner Jack Frank. The ExCEL award — Excellence in Community, Education and Leadership — is a unique recognition program designed exclusively for Minnesota high school juniors who are active in school activities, who show leadership qualities, and who work voluntarily in their community.
Jack Frank is involved in Cross Country, Track, Robotics, NHS, Student Council, FFA, Region FFA Officer Team, and has been on the A Honor roll each of his high school years. Jack is active in volunteering through his church, 4H, Scouts and has completed his Eagle Scout Award.
Drew Lundeen and Jahlyn Bill from Redwood Valley High School have been named this year’s Triple “A” Award nominees. Triple “A” Award winners are students who are recognized for excellence in academics, athletics and the arts. Established in 1988, the Academics, Arts, and Athletics Award (Triple “A” Award) is sponsored by the Minnesota State High School League. The award is given to high school seniors who have a “B” or better grade point average and who participate in league-sponsored athletic and fine arts activities.
Drew is involved in Football, Basketball, Band, Drumline and Project Unified. Drew has competed in State as a cardinal in Football and Basketball and has been all conference in Football and Basketball. Drew Will be attending Liberty University in Lynchburg Virginia majoring in Christian Leadership and Church Ministries.
Jahlyn is involved in Volleyball, Basketball, Golf, NHS, Senior Committee, Project Unified, HOSA, Band and pep band. Jahlyn was a member of the Golf Conference Champ and section runner up team. Jahlyn will be attending Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls for Ultrasound.


Congratulations to our 2/18 Reede Gray Elementary Shoutouts student this week. Through our daily practice in kindness and caring at Reede Gray Elementary these students know that doing one tiny act of kindness can change their world and the world around us. Keep spreading kindness wherever you go and your impact will be felt across the world. Reede Gray Elementary, Redwood Valley Middle School, and Redwood Valley High School will have a free meal at Parent-Teacher Conferences! A meal will be provided for every child and two adults that attend conferences!

The subsection 9 contest will be held on January 29th at the Estebo Performing Arts Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. Participating Schools include BOLD, Lakeview, RVHS, TMB, Wabasso, and WWG. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
The Section 3A contest will be held on February 5th at the Estebo Performing Arts Center beginning at 10:30 a.m. Eight advancing schools from subsection contests will compete for an opportunity to perform at the State One Act Play Festival on Friday, February 11th. Tickets to the Section 3A contest are $8 for adults and $5 for students.
