This week, your child learned about “Orange Shirt Day” or also known as Truth and Reconciliation Day. Every year on September 30th, we recognize relatives who lived during the boarding school years. It is important to keep the message “Every Child Matters” as the motto for this day to remind us all that every child and every culture is important. Please help us by honoring this day by wearing ORANGE on Tuesday, September 30th!

The orange shirt has become a symbol of hope, reconciliation and a commitment to a better future. By wearing an orange shirt on September 30th, you make a statement to support reconciliation and commit to the enduring truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS!

2nd Grade wrapped up a unit on Tall Tales and Fairy Tales with an author read and pancakes. Former staff member and community member Wayne Junker came in to read his book Paul Bunyan and talk about the process of making the book. Afterwards, students enjoyed pancakes that parent volunteers made.

Intro to medical careers students at RVHS got their white coats today as they have completed HIPAA and ethics training and are ready to practice taking vitals. Awesome experience for students!

RVMS - photos have shipped! Parents still need to order pictures? Our NEW Code Lookup Tool is now available. They can simply scan the QR code and follow the directions to access their child's picture ordering gallery. No need to contact Customer Service for an access code! *Student last name and Student ID number will be required for data security.*

Some of our RVHS students have taken up the game of Chess in the Media Center during lunch. Great to see the game making a comeback! Thanks to Mr. Scoates for getting this going.

Congratulations to our 9/19/25 RV Elementary Cardinal Shout Outs this week. Homecoming Week was so much fun and we had a blast as we started to talk about R-E-S-P-E-C-T. One of our core Cardinal Way skills. Respect means seeing the good in people and things and treating them with care. Seeing good in others can mean that you are looking for things you like or appreciate in people–whether they are similar or different from you. It can mean listening quietly when others are speaking or responding with Kindness. It can also mean helping out when you see a need or standing up for others. We are so proud of you! RVMS kicked off Homecoming week with dress up days and some friendly competition in the gym. Today's activity was Pool Noodle Chair Hockey! We're looking forward to an awesome week!
